  1. A llama is a South American even-toed hoofed 
  2. MAMMAL Lama glama of the camel family, about 
  3. 1.2m (4ft) high at the shoulder. Llamas can 
  4. be white, brown, or dark, sometimes with 
  5. spots or patches. They are very hardy, and 
  6. require little food or water. They spit 
  7. profusely when annoyed.
